ABOUT SUSIE DOBSON

Susie Dobson, PR Specialist

During her 25-year career in Public Relations, Susie Dobson has successfully launched numerous campaigns for well-established businesses and start-up companies alike, while building expertise and reputation for creativity and integrity with clients in fields of hospitality, fashion, entertainment, beauty, non-profit and lifestyle.

Currently the Assistant Director, Media and Communications at Cancer Australia, a specialised federal government agency, Susie plays a key role in the development and implementation of media and communication activities, which shape and influence the national cancer control agenda and position and promote Cancer Australia as a trusted and reputable leader in cancer control to internal, community and clinical audiences.

Upon relocating from Los Angeles back to her hometown of Sydney, Australia in 2016, Susie secured a 10-month contract with Imagination for The Spirit of Anzac Centenary Experience. The $47 Million project was Australia’s flagship community event for the Anzac Centenary, with openings in 23 cities around the country, was presented by the Australian Government and the Australian War Memorial, and supported by the Commonwealth Bank and Telstra.

As its President and board member for 10 years, Susie helped grow Australians in Film to over 1,000 members who screen 30+ films per year, host numerous annual events, and count Cate Blanchett, Russell Crowe, Nicole Kidman, Liam Hemsworth, Naomi Watts and Hugh Jackman among its ambassadors.
